Clean and wastewater installed to water company specification, joined by butt fusion, electrofusion or mechanical fittings and welded up to 900mm.

Clean and dirty water can share a trench, but they're never worked on at the same time. Cross-contamination isn't a risk we take, so one system is completed before work starts on the other; if a wastewater issue turns up mid-job on a clean water main, that gets dealt with first. Joints are made by butt fusion, electrofusion or mechanical fittings, and we install to water company specification, fusion-welding up to 900mm diameter.
Yes, but the two systems are never worked on at the same time. One is completed before work starts on the other, and if a wastewater issue turns up mid-job on a clean water main, that gets dealt with first.
Butt fusion heats and faces both pipe ends on a machine, then pushes them together to weld. Electrofusion uses a fitting with built-in heating elements that welds the joint from the inside once the pipe is in place. Where fusion isn't suitable, mechanical fittings are used instead.
